Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the monthly price of $250 include and why is it so much? Also why is there a fee associated with offsite storage?

A: This includes 10 hours of maintenance and/or restore time. Unlike services like Google Drive, our backup restores your server (computer) to the exact state it was in at the last backup. Offsite storage costs money for us to maintain; this covers those costs, software licenses, and gives you peace of mind.

Q: What happens if there is a natural disaster like a tornado and it tears my office apart?

A: In severe events, you need a computer with similar specifications (e.g., CPU, RAM, Hard Drive Capacity). We then launch an image restore to that computer, bringing it back to its last backed-up state. The process can take hours or days, depending on the data size and whether it's restored via the internet.

Q: What if I just need a file or folder from the backup?

A: Yes, we can do that too! Whether you need an older version of a file or you accidentally deleted something, if it was backed up, we can retrieve it for you.

Q: What if I want my server up in the cloud?

A: We can discuss more complex cloud-based solutions during a backup and data recovery assessment to meet your specific needs.

Q: When you say backup assessments are free, what do you mean and how does it work?

A: A backup assessment is a phone call, virtual meeting, or in-person consultation. We assess your current setup, discuss what you want backed up, and how you prefer your backups to be managed. We then provide a quote based on various factors, such as hard drives and other components.
